The universe consists of opposites. We have stars dying and stars being born. We have night and we have day. In mathematics there are positive numbers and negative ones. There is birth and there is death. We have a duality in our natures: we are capable of committing evil acts as well as good ones. Light cannot exist without the dark just as dark cannot exist without light. It is by having one that we can recognise the other,

I think darkness is considered to be a lack of light

Dark exist when we have no light . Its the same like heat exist but cold don’t exist we don’t use cold in physics at all bu when we have no heat it will be cold . This is the meaning of dark its when we have no light but dark dont exist like cold dont exist . We cant calculate the coldness of something but we can calculate the heat . We cant calculate the DARK but we can calculate the light in fact we calculated the speed of light .

Most people don’t realize that fluorescent light tubes aren’t really making light. They are sucking up the dark in the room. That’s why they turn black on the ends when they quit working… they are full of dark!
Try this experiment: Turn on a fluorescent “light” and put your hand under it, palm down. You’ll see that the dark stacks up under your hand where it isn’t able to get pulled up into the dark absorbers.

to what? oh, you mean too = also
Light exists without darkness. Darkness is the absence of light and is banished by light

“If light exist does dark must exist [too]?”
No, if light exists, so must space. There is no “chunk of” space, that does not have light of some frequency passing through, or by, it.
Dark is just “weak” eyes. We cannot see infrared, microwaves, and radio waves. Nor can we see short wave UV, X-rays, or gamma rays. *Everywhere* there is light, only our eyes do not see all light.

Darkness is merely the absence of light within the visible frequency range.

In physics an object is said to be dark when it absorbs photons causing it to appear dim compared to other objects.

dark is the lack of light

This question sounds like what an athiest considers brilliant stuff, man. Hip!
