    He was unwilling to call himself an atheist.  But today there would be no question that’s what he was.

    Likely believed in some God-Like intelligence in the universe, but not a religionist.

    There are many that think that he was, because he could do the most advance math; but could do much of any thing else, including tie his shoes!

    His beliefs were private and never stated.  Those who presume to speak for him are assholes.

    As the complexity of life becomes more apparent (not realized in Einstein’s time), it is more difficult to accept that life is an accident.

    No. His main reasoning for rejecting quantum statistics was that he believed God didn’t play dice which implies he believed the God-myth!
