    It’s his computer. It’s a very out of date program that isn’t in use anymore but he keeps it because it’s what he knows.

    If I remember correctly, the earliest one was based on a Votrax SC-O1 phoneme synthesiser – the same device as used in the original Votrax “Type N Talk” retail speech synth unit.
